A Picture of the sweater from ****..it's taken me a year of on and off knitting..as you can tell..I took on a challenge..since I was only knitting scarves in stockinette before trying my hand at this..


Oh what a pain..Giant cable interlaced with small cables..a twisted stitch that I can't seem to make twist!..two X cables..three other cables on top of that..and knowing I still have to make the front and sleeves and the collar..oh joy..and finnish this back..

ahh..on another note
The scarf for Greg in alpaca..seed stitch..what a pleasure this is to knit!!..I had to use bamboo..only because the stitches were slipping and sliding off the needles with the silvalumes..

Dad and mom came over last night to go to the casino's.. Love my father..though yesterday he was funny as all hell..Seems mom has been playing on-line games again and found Deal or no Deal?? unsure..but dad mentioned something about constantly pushing the space bar to roll the reels..like on a slot machine..and how his finger was a little sore and his wrist..then he said " You know I think I have tunnel vision from all this finger pushing.." as he pointed at me with the finger....Both mom and I about fell out of our chairs from laughing so hard...He of course meant Carpal Tunnel..and when we informed him about his "OOPS" He said " Well,I knew is was something about tunnels!"

Hey ..So I'm knitting and knitting...And I had a thought..The Knit Along for the shawl..got rid of four small balls on that one so far..I am on row number 100..how do I know this?? Because the pattern says to cast on three..do a 1 stitch increase..and then knit rest of row..repeat..so 3 subtracted from 103 is equal to 100 rows..for someone to tell you to knit 100 rows..you think to yourself..what a daunting task...but if someone simply tells you to do 1..then repeat..it doesn't seem too bad..must be how we need to take life..1 row at a time..otherwise..it's very overwhelming!

.The Alpaca is almost gone..and all I have to show is a long square..well that's not going to cover alot ..I keep switching between that and the KAL shawl .So cool.....oh..and I finished that dishcloth..it was a cat..I knew it! done in a nice cream colored cotton..the next KAL Dishcloth is going to be multi-colored..Orange and Black and Yellow and white?? Of course I can't find orange or black at my local Wal-Mart..will have to go to A.C.Moore! road trip!!

Alpaca!

I bought some Alpaca from the LYS (local Yarn store) . It was called Inca Alpaca..It feels sooooo smooth..And as I'm knitting with it..a darling double moss stitch scarf for my Greg..It's shedding..and splitting..OH NO!! So I have to be really careful with this..Also my Dishcloth group is knitting this cute cloth..it's a mystery pattern..we get 8 rows per day to knit..and the pattern just..appears! like magic*grins* this is fun..Greg and I are going back and forth about what could it possibly be! but..today I did 8 more rows..and I knew that was what it was!!!!
